What if I said there was one thing that you could do every single month that would recharge you and help you bring your “A Game” to everything in your life? Most likely, you’d either write me off as one of those “overly optimistic” people (i.e. stay far away!) or say, “sign me up!”

Truthfully, we all have a unique activity we can do every month that can help us be more clear, purposeful and productive in our every day lives.

Making this activity a monthly habit has the potential to infuse a sense of purpose in everything from growing our personal relationships to tackling our businesses and overflowing to-do lists.

This is your monthly plugin. Think about it like this—you charge your smartphone almost every day, right?

What about your inner batteries? They need charging too. Even though I feel like I’m being Captain Obvious over here, in my experience with clients, this isn’t an action item on most women’s to-do list and it should be.

The Monthly Plugin: An activity that you commit to doing every month to supercharge every part of your life

It’s your turn to do a quick intuitive check-in: how charged are your batteries on a scale of 1-00? Whatever answer comes to you is perfect.

If you have a hunch that your batteries are at anything less than 90%, it’s time to start looking for a plug. As a woman in today’s fast-moving world, to operate at anything less than 90% is an injustice to both yourself and the world (because the world needs your unique talents). If you’re serious about showing up in a big way and making life happen, being at 100% is a must.

Finding your Monthly Plugin is a creative, ever-evolving journey.

If you’re ready, start now with this simple, yet effective activity below.

  1. Get centered and present in your body. Don’t know how? Take the yogic approach. Breathe 3 deep breaths, paying special attention to the quality of your breath, and where it’s flowing in your body.
  2. Next, think about the times in your life when you felt alive, free, and full of life. What were you doing? Were you in nature? Were you alone, or with loved ones? Were you doing anything in particular, or just relaxing? Were you close to home, or far away?
  3. What do your answers in the previous step reveal about you? What could be your monthly plugin?
  4. Set a time each month to do your Monthly Plugin.

Keep in mind that it’s completely normal to feel initial resistance when doing your Monthly Plugins. It may even feel forced for the first 40 days (studies show that it takes 40 days to create a new habit), but be rest assured that it’s just your body chemistry changing to allow space for you to supercharge.

Stay with it, and you’ll see results in your happiness bank. If you have any questions or need any support, let me know by writing to
